Finally the Audi Q5 now has its first refreshed face after spending four years in the market. However if you see the facelifted Q5 you may not notice it as Q5.
If some days ago, the company had spread the images of the car without any details information, now you can have all information you want. The compact crossover now receives the brand’s new six- point grille, fresh headlamp and taillight graphics, revised front and rear aprons, along with updated trim, refined ergonomics, new steering wheels and a little revamped column control stalks and instrument panel.
In addition, the engineers also have upgraded the engines under the car’s hood by replacing the naturally aspirated 3.2 liter V6 with a 3.0 liter supercharged V6 petrol engine.
As much 268 horses and 400 Nm of peak torque are produced by the 3.0 TFSI. The engine enables the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.9 seconds while reaching a top speed of 234 km/h. the combined fuel consumption is returned at 8.5lt/100km on the European cycle.
The second engine is the new 2.0 liter TFSI with its 221 hp and 350 Nm of peak torque. The fuel consumption is figured of 7.6 liters per 100 km with a manual transmission.
Apart of those engine, there are also a choice of three diesel engines as well depending on the market, including the 2.0-liter TDI with 141hp (143PS) and 236 lb-ft, the 2.0 TDI with 174hp (177PS) and 380Nm (280 lb-ft), and the 3.0-liter V6 TDI producing 241hp (245PS) and 580Nm (428 lb-ft).
The 2.0 TDI is mated with a standard 6 speed manual gearbox, while the 3.0 TFSI is mated with a standard 8-speed automatic and the 3.0 TDI with a seven-speed dual-clutch S tronic transmission.
The hybrid model comes with a 2.0 liter TFSI and an electric motor that is good for producing combined 241hp and 480 Nm of torque. It is able to sprint from standstill to 62 mph in 7.1 seconds sprint time. In pure electric mode, the Hybrid is claimed to be able to go for more than 3 kilos at a speed of 60 km/h.
