2013 BMW 4-Series Coupe Spy Photo

The prototype seen in this latest spy video shows very similar proportions to the outgoing 3-Series Coupe, meaning its styling will be more of an evolutionary shift rather than a complete redesign. There are even some subtle hints from the E46 coupe, as can be seen by the taller rear, which also appears squarer than the one on the current model.

As for the engine lineup, expect the same 328i and 335i designations from the sedan to filter across to the coupe. This means a 240 horsepower 2.0-liter turbo in the 328i and a 300 horsepower 3.0-liter turbo in the 335i model. Transmission choices should include a standard six-speed manual and optional eight-speed automatic.

A high-performance M variant, possibly labeled an M4, will also be launched, though it isn’t due until sometime in 2013. A M3 sedan, however, will arrive earlier.

As for this new 4-Series Coupe, look out for it in showrooms late in the year where it will be joined by a 4-Series Convertible as well.
