VETTEL THE CUBE: IS POLE IN VALENCIA

Beat Hamilton, Ferrari out of top 10

At the last second of the qualifications of the European Grand Prix F1 Sebastian Vettel scored his 33rd career pole position and third season. On the street circuit of Valencia on the German Red Bull was the fastest with a time of 1'38 "086, ahead of Lewis Hamilton (McLaren), Pastor Maldonado (Williams) and Romain Grosjean (Renault).  Disaster Ferrari , with both Drivers
eliminated in Q2: Alonso and Massa 11 ° 13 ° despite reduced separations.
It seemed the most in need and instead Vettel gave his paw in time almost expired. A master stroke that brought him even more in the elite of the sport. With the pole won at Valencia, in fact, two-time world champion has reached Prost and Jim Clark at 33, behind the two other superstars like Schumacher (68) and Senna (65).
Hamilton tried to put the sticks between the wheels, but was not able to impensierirlo. The fact is that behind them there are the usual competitors, but two outsiders as Maldonado , who is no longer a surprise, and Grosjean , who has done better teammate, Kimi Raikkonen. Nico Rosberg, sixth, is the first of the Mercedes, while Schumacher has not gone beyond the 12 th place.
A cry is Button, Webber and especially Ferrari. The Australian has paid dearly for a long day of technical problems, while Button has seized the right moment in qualifying after being the fastest of the third practice session.
Cavallino long faces at home. For the second time in Melbourne, Alonso and Massa were eliminated in Q2, failing to exploit the soft tires. A problem also highlighted by a very disappointed Montezemolo. The problem is that Ferrari is missing the pole by Singapore 2010 ... As a partial consolation is the fact that the posting is the first of a few tenths, but at a track where overtaking is difficult, the position of the two pilots in red portends a difficult Sunday.
