2014 Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Edition 507

Mercedes-Benz is taking a page out of the playbook of the SLS supercar to power up a new version of the C63 AMG, named the Edition 507.
Metaphorically, the “page” describes the inner workings of the SLS AMG supercar's 6.2-liter V8 engine. Specifically, it has forged pistons from the SLS plus new connecting rods and a lightweight crankshaft.
The result: Power grows to 507 hp and 450 lb-ft of torque in the naturally aspirated engine. That's up 56 hp and 7 lb-ft from the C63 in basic trim. Top speed is 174 mph.
It's also an increase from the AMG development package, which bolstered output to 481 hp using similar engine-modification techniques.
The 2014 C63 AMG Edition 507 replaces the development pack for the 2014 model year. It goes on sale this summer in the United States after a reveal in March at the Geneva motor show. It will be available as a coupe or sedan.

The sports car is also fitted with AMG brakes, a hood from the C63 Black Series and forged alloy 19-inch wheels for both front and rear. The spoiler, mirror housings and grille surrounds are also painted a high gloss shade of black.
The cabin has Mercedes “designo” leather offered in three color schemes, an AMG steering wheel and instrument cluster and Edition 507 badging.
