Jaguar 2012

The British brand could add a wagon body variant to the XF range by late 2012.
Dubbed the Sportbrake, the Jag-wagon is likely to be unveiled at the Geneva motor show in March but is still under consideration for Australia. If it does, a starting price of about $85,000 is likely to compete with Germany's trio of large luxury wagons, including the Audi A6 Avant, the BMW 5-Series Touring and the Mercedes-Benz E-Class Estate.
The rear cargo area should offer ample luggage space, which means a capacity of about 560 litres to rival the BMW and Audi wagons.
The Sportbrake is likely to be powered by a similar engine line-up to the XF sedan, which includes 3.0-litre V6 petrol and diesel units, a naturally aspirated 5.0-litre V8 and the recently launched 2.2-litre turbo-diesel four-cylinder.
