First shown in September at the Frankfurt Auto Show in Germany, the GT is Kia’s idea for a powerful, rear-wheel-drive sports sedan. Designed at the brand’s European studio, the low-slung GT is meant to recall the elegant and fast GT cars of the 1970s. The front doors are conventional, but the rear doors open from the front. The sedan’s swoopy bodywork is covered in pale gray paint accented with copper trim.
The 4-passenger sedan is powered by a 3.3-liter turbocharged V6 engine that’s said to be good for 395 horsepower. It is nearly 185-inches long and rides a 112.6-inch wheelbase.
The interior uses single-piece seats that are mounted on arched supports. A glass instrument panel houses LED displays and a minimum of buttons. The seats are trimmed in metallic-effect leather.
